This is my take on Ezra Bridger's original lightsaber from the Rebels. I made my first one with a minimal number of 3D printed parts and I used templates to cut parts out of wood. I later made models for the wood parts for the second one I built. The main structure of this lightsaber is a length of 1.25" copper pipe (I can't remember the exact length 11" should be enough to cut it down to the right length.) Sand and polish the copper and the parts should fit. There is a chrome section that is a 1.5" sink tailpipe. Be careful cutting the chrome pipe because the chrome is easy to mar. I used a pipe cutter for it. It will need a variety of grub screws to hold the parts in place. There are other parts to flesh out the look. Those need to be glued in place. I'd recommend industrial strength contacts cement. I used nickel plated decorative washers, a rotary switch that I painted red, D-ring, and a knurled thumbscrew with plastic cover. The area inside the copper tube is empty so there is space for electronics. Set screws can be used to hold things in place. there are three set screws in the collar that can be used for holding a blade in place.
