EZM M328 component tester case
thingiverse
This is a case for another clone of the GM328 tester - in this case from EZM Electronics Studio. The board sports just M328 as the model number, but the firmware clearly states GM328. I wanted one that would expose the surface mount testing pads since I work extensively with SMT stuff. This design requires no fasteners, everything snaps together seamlessly. The battery fits snugly under the screen board in a compartment with a door that provides secure access. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: I printed in ABS, extruder temperature set at 245C (I suspect my hotend runs a little cooler than commanded) with a retrofitted heated bed (Kapton with PVA coat) at 110C. The battery door posed a problem when printing in ABS: the spring section would print as a gummy mess with the two sides fused together, even when slowed down to 8 seconds/layer. To address this issue, I added the Tower of Distraction (a cylinder with the same height as the spring section) somewhere else on the bed, so the extruder would spend some time away from the spring section and the plastic would have a chance to cool. In PLA it prints without any need for the Tower, while Nylons might or might not require it, yet to be tested. Post-Printing: For the ABS part, I found it helpful to use a hot air pencil/heat gun on the spring section to achieve better fusion between layers on the outside. This made it significantly more durable and reliable.
