A custom extruder design inspired by the SeeMeCNC EZStruder offers robust support for flexible filaments. It tightly secures the filament from the drive gear all the way to the hotend, ensuring seamless operation with flexibles. This innovative design leverages SeeMeCNC's proven drive gear, and any 12mm OD drive gear can be utilized if properly aligned. The spring originally intended for the EZStruder arm is repurposed here, while a 608 bearing securely fastened by an M4 bolt and washer combo attaches to the arm. This setup is optimized to work with PTC connectors provided by E3D, allowing the PTFE tube to directly connect to the drive gear. This is R7.7, marking the original release of this design at R3. Subsequent revisions have been implemented to enhance compatibility with TPU type filaments (Ninjaflex, Filaflex, etc), following testing that highlighted this as a crucial area for improvement. Note that the Arm file has been inverted; when exporting it to an STL, users will need to flip it.
