EZ-Wifibroadcast MicroQuad Testing Platform
thingiverse
In my relentless pursuit of affordable micro HD FPV, this streamlined prototype frame was designed as a crash-proof platform to house a pi zero, WN722N wifi usb TX, naze32, and babyhawk/FT gremlin power train. This frame is still rough around the edges due to ongoing vibration issues not present in analog FPV systems. There's no room for an R/C receiver on this frame since it requires none - control signals transmit from a USB gamepad (or Taranis in USB mode) over the wifibroadcast link. You also won't need a separate OSD as the pi zero sends the FC's telemetry down the link as well. To use this frame, remove all unnecessary weight/components from the wifi card and directly solder the usb/power connections, including the antenna. My current flying prototype (not pictured) features 1.5mm fiberglass G10 for added toughness in the lower frame/arms. First shaky flights can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SeZt63PmZI (note that post processing software and youtube have compromised the actual video quality). Special thanks to Rodizio and everyone else contributing to the EZ-Wifibroadcast project. If I had more time, I'd contribute but would probably introduce bugs into the code, causing aircraft to plummet in flames. Minimal Frame assembly requires: * 4x standoffs ~7mm * 4x Anti Vibration Dampers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073LPTHCL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) * 4x anti-vibration mounting grommets (between lower frame and mid-frame) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071RP443J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) * 4X 7mm rubber standoffs for the FC (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07219Q2HX/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Notes on EZWBC 1.5: For RC control, use CF 1.2.x branch since they removed MSP_RX in 2.x or roll your own CF with it enabled. In CF, set UART baud at 57600 MSP Data (though EZWBC config is at 19200).
