If you're intrigued by this innovative project, I highly recommend starting with EZ-TRIM GEN 2. This upgraded version is simpler to build and mount, and it's significantly more compact on your boom. However, if your boom grip is severely damaged or worn out, the original EZ-TRIM model is still a great option, as you can build a protective sleeve around the boom to secure the ring. You can customize this system for your boom by printing it with parameters set according to your boom's diameter, ensuring a snug fit. Once printed and installed, share your experience with friends and family. The terms of use are clear: print EZ-TRIM for personal use only (no commercial sales), and maintain the EZ-TRIM name on the model and in your communications. To build your own EZ-TRIM add-on, ensure that your boom meets the following requirements: 1. The boom has a circular section with a constant diameter of 25cm where the harness line can be trimmed, and its overall diameter (including foam) does not exceed 35mm. 2. The boom end (at the clew) features clips that can be easily removed or have a reduced diameter of 45mm.
