EZ-Snap Razor Blade Handle

EZ-Snap Razor Blade Handle

thingiverse

Revamped Emmett's razor blade handle design for smooth print removal on the build platform. The fit was optimized for commonly used single-edged razor blades like Stanley #9. To ensure a comfortable fit, the design features full cutaways under the corners. Additionally, it includes extra details such as radii and chamfers. Print at 0.123mm/layer for optimal results, although this may not be critical. Test different print scales (32% or 50%) to find the right balance between strength and flexibility. For better print quality, rotate the handle to a 45-degree angle during printing. If necessary, trim the blade corners with a file or sandpaper to prevent damage to the heated build platform cover. Dulling the blade slightly may also improve performance by preventing it from diving too deep into the Kapton tape. Always handle the blade with care and avoid forcing it into place to prevent injury.
