Eyes Pencil Sharpener

Hello Everyone, I'm thrilled to share with you a project that's very close to my heart. A dear family member created something amazing for me when I was young, and it's been a constant source of inspiration ever since. It was made from a small Pringles container, covered in paper mache on the outside and painted a sleek grey color with big, round eyes peeking out from the top. The pièce de résistance was a square sharpener attached near the bottom, complete with a clever cutout that added to its charm. However, despite its unique design, this early prototype had one major flaw: it didn't do a great job of collecting pencil shavings. They would often spill out of the container and make a mess. I've since designed an improved Pencil Sharpener that takes on the form of a miniature garbage bin, complete with a built-in storage compartment for shavings and a mechanism for disposing of them when needed. The lid is easily removable by rotating it counterclockwise, and can be locked back into place by turning it clockwise. This design consists of just three pieces: two 3D printed components and the sharpener itself. It's a clever solution that's both functional and fun to use. For example, it's compatible with popular sharpeners like the Staedtler 510 10.
