Eyes in the dark
thingiverse
I've got my hands on some of these teeny-tiny lights, courtesy of someone who thought I'd enjoy playing with them... 4-Pin WS2812B WS2812 LED Chip & Heatsink 5 V 5050 RGB WS2811 IC - talk about a mouthful! So, I whipped up some mounts to stick 'em in my hedges for Halloween. I added an extension to the mount, just so I can tie wrap them onto PVC pipe or sticks. The files come with two different eye sets to choose from - nice touch! Now, here's the thing: these babies aren't waterproof at all. So, I'll need to seal 'em up with some silicone or a glue gun. I went with clear glue sticks, and once they're sealed, it's pretty much permanent. If there's an issue, I'll just have to redo the lights, but hey, they're dirt cheap. I'm using an ESPixel Pop to control these little light shows. And, because I like to get creative, I used a black Sharpie to draw in some pupils and designs - whatever floats my boat!
