I mostly use 1.25-inch eyepieces. My telescope mount, a Celestron AVX, features a platform with holes designed specifically for holding eyepieces. Some of these holes are intended for 2-inch eyepieces, which can sometimes cause confusion in the dark when trying to insert a 1.25-inch eyepiece into one of these larger holes.
