Eyecup for Japanese Ortho eyepiece
thingiverse
An unwanted side light during night observations is very annoying. Some eyepieces have dedicated eyecups, while others have twist-up eyecups built-in. If your eyepiece doesn't have one included, possibly you have to buy one or more. It's not cheap, so the problem increases if you use a binoviewer. You can find here an eyecup for small 1.25" ortho eyepieces like Fujiyama, genuine Abbe ortho, Antares, Kasai and other brands that look like they were made in the same factory :) If the diameter differs slightly, then change only a Horizontal Expansion, which I set as -0.25 In my opinion, the TPU is the best for it, it's soft and doesn't scratch your precious eyepiece(s). I didn't experience the bending of the wing next to my face, so I think other filaments should also be OK.
