Eyecaps for Binoculars - fully parametrized
thingiverse
This "thing" creates linked eyecups for binoculars, solving the issue of lost or inferior eyecaps in modern models. The SCAD file's module 'eyecaps()' is fully parameterized, enabling users to customize parameters such as outer diameter of eyepieces, distance between them when open, number and size of strap loops, type and number of bridge connections between eyecaps. Example STL files are available for specific binoculars like Minolta 7x21, Nikon Sportstar EX 8x25, and Pentax DCF 9x28. To accommodate different eyepiece diameters, distances, or bridge configurations, simply modify the SCAD file by adding your own 'eyecaps()' call. Given the need for flexible eyecap bridges when storing binoculars, ABS is the ideal material for printing these customized eyecups.
