Eye Sphinx

Eye Sphinx

Guys, the fillet tool is an incredible asset. Gotta get those smooth edges just right! I used a sphinx as inspiration for this project and ended up branching out quite far from the original design... The head prints as a ball-and-socket joint that needs to be popped in after printing. It allows for the head to spin 360 degrees effortlessly. The tail consists of three hinge joints that enable it to move up and down freely. As for why the STL files are reversed, I'm not entirely sure. Just give this fantastic creation a good rotation to check it out! The link below provides an in-depth explanation of how I brought this project to life: http://3dprinting.illustratingmath.com/2019/10/24/eye-sphinx/
