Eye model for simulating fundus examination - POWEM v1
grabcad
*An updated iteration with an instructional video will be uploaded at a later date!*This free model allows the simulation of a fundus examination on a slit lamp and from direct or indirect ophthalmoscopy. Developed at the Prince of Wales Eye Clinic, it is called the Prince of Wales Eye Model (POWEM). The POWEM is sized for a Volk 78D lens but can accommodate lenses of small diameters (than 35mm) by using tissue paper or foam. Fundus images must be printed to a quality of at least 1200 dpi and scaled to be smaller than 5 cm by 5 cm. These can be placed on the cartridge, which slides into the POWEM. The POWEM is then either mounted to a slit lamp or left on a table for practising examination. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Non Commercial License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).
