The idea behind this extruder is to make it modular. This way, users can easily switch from a Bowden extruder to a Wade or direct extruder (or vice versa) depending on the filament being used. Additionally, they can quickly swap out fans based on their situation. The design consists of three main components: 1) The extruder 2) The hotend mount 3) The fan mount Both the extruder and fan mount can be removed independently with just two screws. The hotend mount is oversized since it was initially designed to accommodate two extruders. To-do list: - Create a direct extruder - Design a coupler for screwing in a PFTE push fit (the thread for connecting a teflon hose) - Add grips for managing cables - Mount for an inductive sensor - Mount for a strip of LEDs - Grips for a small PCB 50mm x 50mm Note: I'm really bad at designing, so if any kind soul wants to help and move this project forward, the Sketchup files and fan mount are available.
