I'm excited to share with you a fresh approach number two! This time, we'll be using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to view gcode files. It's going to be amazing! The GUI lets you work with gcode files like a pro. You can rework the code using plugins that make it easier than ever before. Some awesome plugins are already available, and I'm happy to list them for you: Progress on LCD: keep track of your progress directly on the display. Noise Reduction: minimize those pesky vibrations while printing. Spring Effect Reduction: a must-have for Bowden enthusiasts like yourself. By the way, this GUI lets you create miniature icons for files. It's just too cool! Plus, there's more: ThumbNailer setup: easily delete items from extensions. Extract tar.bz2: save and re-load your favorite gcode files in seconds! Previous Files: effortlessly access your most recent gcode files stored in your home directory. Just a heads up, you need to set some paths correctly: * /home/yoyo/Projects/_Python/ExtruderMaster2/gcode.thumbnailer * /home/yoyo/Projects/_Python/ExtruderMaster2/makeImg.sh To get the most out of it, remember to run "update-mime-database ~/.local/share/mime/" to your path. All set? Let's dive in! You'll need Python and PyGTK3 installed. Easy peasy!
