Extruder Tension Ferrule
thingiverse
I bought a cheap extruder for my Ender 3 V2 and when it arrived I realised it didn't have a tension adjustment and the supplied spring is way too large to use. The spring bit was easy with just using the original spring. The adjustment was a bit more difficult as the adjustment screw thread in the new extruder is smaller than the original and the gap between the extruder arm and extruder body is smaller so I couldnt use the setup from the original extruder. The easy fix I did was to print a new adjustment ferrule and this sorted it out. The photo shows the ferrule inserted in the spring and the adjustment screw rotates inside the recessed hole in the ferrule.
