The snap-fit design of a fan-mount combines shared print/extruder cooling for added stability. Even if the extruder overheats, this durable design won't disintegrate and come loose (a common issue with weak designs that lack a top-stopping edge). Secure the fan in place using M3x16 screws, and supplement with small nuts placed in the holes for extra grip.
