Extruder side mount - Anycubic i3 Mega with or without sensor
thingiverse
Update V2 September 19 Due to some printer variations, there were issues with the fitting. I made some adjustments! Enjoy! ........... I was searching for a while for a side mount mod for my i3 Mega. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that wouldn't fit the frame. I want the extruder on the X-axis and, of course, don't want to drill new holes or threads. So, I designed this mod, and it works great. It's printed in PETG, and you'll only need two M4 nuts and four M4 screws 15mm. Of course, this solution may not be as stable if you drill two holes and put threads in them, but it's sufficient! In the files, you'll find a mount with a filament sensor and one without. If you're using the filament sensor, you have to work on the holder. Please see the pictures.
