Extruder no push fit connection for NEMA-17 motor with integrated Planetary gearbox
thingiverse
This is a compact extruder that doesn't need a push fit connection. It's engineered for NEMA-17 motors with integrated planetary gearboxes and spur gears of an outer diameter of up to 16mm. I grew tired of the bowden tube constantly popping out of its connector, so I designed this extruder without one. All you need is to screw an M4 nut onto the end, then cut off any excess tube at the nut. Use a drill bit with a diameter of 2.5mm to remove some material from the tube near the nut, allowing the filament to be easily fed in. Next, slot the tube/nut into the extruder and secure it. To attach this extruder to the motor/gearbox, you'll need: * Two M3x8 bolts * Three M3x25 bolts * One M3x16 bolt * One M4x20 bolt * Six M3 washers * One M5 washer * One M3 Nylock nut * One M5 Nylock Nut * One Bearing 625ZZ (diameter=16mm, hole=5mm, thickness=5mm) Print settings are as follows: * Printer: Kossel XL * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 50%
