The plate serves to attach the extruder motor assembly onto the extruder mount assembly, provided as an .dxf file by Makerbot for their stepstruder MK6 assembly. I replaced my broken acrylic part with a sturdier ABS one. Will capture photos in the morning once I find batteries for my camera. Simply swap this printed part for the original.
