The "Printrbot Direct-Drive Extruder" - a custom-designed extruder compatible with the i3 printer and operating on 1.75 or 3mm filament, utilizing the mk7/mk8 platform. Unfortunately, this model didn't function properly when used in conjunction with 3mm filament and an i3 printer setup, as it consistently resulted in misalignment issues. Without an available open-source design (OSD), I was prompted to create one of my own. The resulting model boasts 30mm and 24mm mounting options. To facilitate further customization, simply edit the provided scad file to accommodate either M4 or M3 size screws as needed. When it comes to selecting a suitable top portion for integration with this design, I highly recommend consulting the "MK10 Mount v2" located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15718.
