A mini extruder gear for Ultimaker's stepmotor was replicated from a Thingiverse model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40334), excluding the herringbone gears. Assembly is straightforward, featuring a D-shaped hole to fit onto the shaft and an M3 10mm bolt as a set screw with an M3 nut slot at the backside. After printing it at 100% fill and mounting, fitting the M3 nut into the slot was challenging; pliers were used to hold it while heating the nut with a small gas heater to melt it in place.
