This is my design of the manual extruder knob thumb screw, which fits perfectly over the stepper motor shaft with a press fit. It's specifically designed for 5mm D shafts, featuring a keyed flat side that ensures compatibility with most common 40mm stepper motors equipped with 5mm shafts. To achieve an accurate fit, I had to manually adjust the scale of my design. After printing four prototypes at varying scales (102%, 104%, 106%, and 108%), I found that 104% scaling worked best for me, while 106% was a close second but didn't require excessive force to remove from the shaft. Given these results, I decided to use the 104% scaled piece on my Anycubic i3 Mega printer.
