Extruder knob with finger spinner

Update 4 Nov 2019: Originally intended for the Anycubic i3 Mega, but surprisingly works just as well on other printers featuring an extruder motor with a flat on the shaft, such as the Monoprice Select Mini v1. It also proves to be compatible with the Monoprice Select Mini v2 and even fits perfectly through a press-fit. Additionally, I chamfered the opening to minimize cleanup required for a smooth fit, especially beneficial for printers prone to elephant's foot issues. Inspired by another extruder knob that I designed and used previously, but noticed its slow loading and unloading of filament when turning the wheel due to the lengthy PTFE tube. I hypothesized that incorporating a smaller central section could expedite filament loading, so I created an entirely new design with a slender extension, enabling faster spinning in of filament. One drawback is this new design necessitates supports, whereas its predecessor did not require any additional reinforcement.
