Extruder Indicator Dial
thingiverse
I saw this on the Tevo Facebook group, but when I loaded the STL that was posted, it was malformed so I quickly knocked this up in Fusion 360 in just five minutes. Unfortunately, the name of the person who originally posted it was in Chinese characters, and since I don't speak Chinese, I couldn't credit them properly. However, Google helped me out by suggesting Elsa as a possible name, so we'll go with that - thanks, Elsa, for your design. This device spins easily with the extruder, clearly showing when it's feeding filament and when it's retracting. It could even be used for calibration purposes. The push fit is designed to accommodate a 5mm stepper shaft. I've taken Elsa's original design a bit further by adding a dial face with five-degree markings that attach securely to the stepper motor screws. Although I haven't had a chance to test it yet, the holes are carefully measured to fit standard stepper motors.
