Extruder Gear Medley
thingiverse
Using two extruder gear designs from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10538 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13286), I employed plater.py, which comes with Pronterface, to create a plate featuring four large and four small extruder gears for spare purposes. Although I attempted to rectify potential issues in the original files using Netfabb Basic, I believe that Netfabb was unable to handle certain errors. Slic3r, however, did not raise any concerns. To minimize gaps and ensure strength, I opted for a single perimeter with no extra shells during printing. To counteract potential issues due to printing at high speeds without a fan, as I typically use Slic3r for ABS prints, I manually added short lengths of scrap PLA filament whenever a piece ran out, which was necessary given the rapid print speed.
