This is a precision direct drive extruder for the block type nozzles. The key difference here lies in the fact that the filament path is situated as close to the hobbed gear as possible, minimizing the amount of bending required from the filament.\nThe extruder achieves positive grip through a spring tensioner located on the bearing arm. I tested it on a printer with a seriously sketchy setup. When the nozzle wasn't causing problems, the extruder performed fantastically.\nThe combined print features an arm bearing set for the center of the filament path. Due to some slop in the print, I fabricated another bearing arm with the bearing 1mm lower. This adjustment seemed to improve contact on the filament.\nThe bearing used is a R188-ZZC .5" o.d., .25" i.d., .187" thick.\nThe spring employed is a C-510, .5" long, .25" i.d. cut nearly in half.\nChoose any bolt that suits your needs. I utilized 1-1/2" 4-40. Printer Settings Printer Brand: Printer: Rafts: Supports: Yes Resolution: .25mm Infill: 70%
