prusaprinters

This is my new extruder for Prusa MK3 featuring E3D's Revo Micro and the new Orbiter 2.0.
For download I added the complete assembly in step-format. Free to further develop these data. For printing I added amf-files.
The Orbiter needs different settings which are all described in the documents coming with the Orbiter. You'll need to adapt the Orbiter cable plug as shown. I took a spare Einsy cable, cut off the plug with some 50mm cable rest, attached (soldered) 5x0.6mm wire to the ends and shrinked the connection.
I used a 25x25x6mm hotend-fan with a 3-wire lead which prevents problems with the Prusa firmware. It's a SUNON KD0502PEB1-8 which is quite hard to come by. Update: 1. KD0502PEB2-8 (25x25x6.8mm) can be used as replacement. The airflow is a little bit less but it does the job without problems. 2. I did an update on the Pinda attachment using 2 M2.5 screws. If anyone is interested please ask. (endUpdate) E3D ships a 2-wire hotend-fan (20x20x10mm) with the Revo Micro hotend. For anyone looking for another fan: The hotend-fan needs a airflow volume of 1.9 CFM.
For the 3 main structural parts (x-carriage/x-carriage-back/adapter RM-Orbiter 2.0) I used ColorFabb PA-CF because you need optimal stiffness here. For the M12x1.5 thread in the Orbiter/Revo Micro-adapter it's advisable (at least for PA-CF) to use a cylindrical speed modifier area (PrusaSlicer) around the thread to reduce the speed locally to 12 mm/s. Layer height for PA-CF: 0.2mm/0.4mm nozzle(X).
Other filaments: Extrudr GreenTEC PRO (print fan shroud, hotend fan holder, Pinda mount), PLA (remaining 2 parts).
2 parts with 0.25 nozzle/0.1mm layer height: hotend fan holder, Pinda mount. Remaining parts with 0.4mm nozzle/0.15mm layer height . Supports only for print fan shroud (3 air exits) and hotend fan holder (arc).
Tip: Plastic is not metal. Don't overtighten your screws and regularly check and fasten them if necessary. Best check before every print session.
If anyone needs more information please ask me.
