This extruder is based on a Wade's No.17 design, using a model-car splined insert as pinch wheel. The axis requires M4 screws and 624 bearings for movement along with 608 bearings for the idler. A Nema 17 stepper motor is necessary for operation. Assemble it with four M3 screws, an M4 nut, and four M4 spacers. For a better second version, consider making the extruder accessible with a quick-release idler block, improving motor slide slots, and adding a herringbone gear set. This extruder fits standard Mendel x carriages and is compatible with adapter plates not included in the kit. Enjoy your new extruder!
