After swapping out the filament, I was thoroughly frustrated. That process wasn't as easy as it should have been. The simplest way to resolve this issue is to remove the small extruder fan. However, that's not a very pleasant experience, especially when you consider that the new filament is now in place, and the nozzle is hot. You'll need four hands to properly reattach the fan / heat sink / extruder stepper motor. I've tried it with just one screw removed, but it was essentially the same frustrating experience. I've since searched for alternative solutions from others who have encountered similar problems. Unfortunately, their designs didn't quite fit my needs. The screws wouldn't hold in place properly, and the fan broke off the holder. Frustrated by this outcome, I decided to create a new, improved version of this helpful tool. It now features extra space for easier use. To assemble this new design, simply take apart your head sink and rasp one side of the hole slightly larger so that you can see the filament hole. (Please refer to the photo.) If you encounter any issues or have suggestions for further improvements, please let me know.
