Extruder direct drive Nema 17 1.75 with Jhead adaptation (for prusa?)
thingiverse
A 1.75mm direct drive extruder suitable for Prusa utilizes standard 50mm M4 holes and Jhead adaptations, specifically designed for 1.75 jhead nozzles. However, note that this is a prototype (v0.6) which may require further testing to ensure optimal functionality. To assemble, you'll need a 5mm insert, 626ZZ bearing, M4 bolt, spring for the M4 bolt, NEMA17, and a 6mm bolt to cut (an optional M4 wingnut is recommended). Support material is necessary during printing. This extruder works with Prusa V2 and most printers featuring 50mm holes, like the first Printerbot, etc. Ensure all bolts are placed in the NEMA17 as it has been designed to use them all. Feel free to suggest improvements, but be aware that other bearing adaptations have not yet been explored due to laziness. Remember this is a prototype and may require further testing before declaring it fully functional. The config includes a NEMA17 motor (44Kg/cm), 5mm insert with STEP_MM of 70 at 1/8 stepping, a printing speed of 3000mm/min, and acceleration of 4000mm/s-2. The changelog highlights v0.6 updates such as larger foot to reduce oscillations, addition of two parametric fixations (useful on Prusa), shape modifications, and unnecessary hole removal.
