Extruder cooler for Prusa I3 Rework / 40 mm fan / Nema 17 42mm
thingiverse
My Extruder motor heats up to between 90 and 100 degrees Celsius. Whenever I print something that takes one to two hours, my Stepper jams the filament and also creates deformations on my PLA gears. I looked around but couldn't find a good design for Prusa. Also, I didn't have any heat sinks. The design can be improved to incorporate heat sinks as well. After this, the temperatures dropped down to 40 degrees Celsius. Note that the bolts that hold the fan are not connected into the NEMA 17 bolt holes; they just stand alone. After the montage, I used a cable tie to make it stronger.
