After acquiring Plastruder MK5, I was perplexed to find no designated spot for fixing control electronics. This has left me wondering about MakerBot Industries' thought process behind this decision. To resolve the issue, I rewired and mounted the EC alongside my bot, which works well with the new relay board. Although simple, I decided to share the mounting method since it is less complex than other options. To recreate this setup, refer to the provided image for instructions. Begin by inserting M3x12 bolts in the outer holes, ensuring they are tightly screwed and become captive. You may need to slightly enlarge the holes if using PLA but avoid overdoing it. Next, place an M3x12 or M3x15 bolt in the center hole, leaving it loose. Attach one M3 nut inside the MakerBot's chassis and mate the assembly. Finally, secure the control electronics onto the exposed bolts.
