Extruder Connector Block
thingiverse
This connector block empowers you to utilize 9-pin CPC connectors to interface your printer extruder with ease. It streamlines disconnection of the extruder for maintenance or swap between extruders. Use the first connector for common circuits (servo, Z probe, fans) and assign the other two connectors to the extruders. By using one connector per extruder with a uniform pinout (stepper motor, heater, thermistor), you can seamlessly transition from single to double extruders. By opting for printing the hoods instead of purchasing them, I managed to save on costs. An STL file for the hood is included in this set. Print Settings: Printer: MakerFarm Prusa i3v Rafts: Irrelevant Supports: Unnecessary Resolution: 0.2mm layers Infill: 40% How I Designed This Design Files: All parts were expertly designed using SolidWorks, and the part files are included with this set. Connectors: I employed 9-pin, size 11 CPC connectors available at http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/connectors-interconnects/circular-connectors-housings/1442557?k=A1372-ND for this design. M3 screws directly tapped into the block are used to secure these connectors.
