You're on the verge of starting your print when disaster strikes - a lingering residue from the previous print still clings to the extruder, threatening to ruin your current project. You know it's bound to end up smack dab in the middle of your print somewhere. The solution is simple: you need something thin and quick to scrape away that hot extruder, knowing full well the melted plastic will adhere more readily to it than the extruder itself. That's where the extruder cleaner comes in - a lifesaver designed with a 5mm diameter hole perfect for scraping any side of the extruder from whatever direction is most convenient.
