Extruder Cable Organizer for Wanhao i3 (Monoprice Maker Select)
thingiverse
Simple brackets neatly organize the spaghetti of cables on top of Wanhao extruder assembly by attaching to the bearings on the back with 2xM4 screws, 8-10mm long. The reworked V2 brackets are taller and cover more cabling area than the originals. Version V2e is the right bracket extended by 5mm. I've upgraded my extruder stepper motor from a stock 0.8A one to a 1.2A one, available at http://www.3dp2go.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=17HS3001-20B, allowing for higher printing speed (65mm vs 40mm/sec), but the new motor is 5 mm wider, resulting in a loss of several mm of building envelope on the X axis. The V2e bracket is an extended version of V2 to utilize the newly available space. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: None needed Notes: Walls are 1.6mm thick, so with 2 shells, infill isn't necessary if using a standard 0.4mm nozzle. Print both brackets upside down without support. How I Designed This OpenSCAD The OpenSCAD source code is provided as usual.
