Another approach to rectify this extruder issue is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8830. For the original design, the motor faces the y-axis motor; however, rotating it 90 degrees positions the extruder stepper towards the x-axis idler. This arrangement allows for taller prints, preventing collisions between the stepper and Prusa frame's threaded bars.
