Extruder Body and Cover for Prusa MK2 with extra M3n Nuts
thingiverse
I own a Prusa clone 3D printer that I've had for some time now, and over the course of using it, the screws holding the hotend fan have become loose due to being directly screwed into the plastic cover and body of the struder. The two front fan screws are also responsible for holding the capacitive sensor in place, which is why I believed that those two loose screws were affecting the Z high reading on my printer. To address this issue, I decided to make a modification to the original Prusa MK2 extruder cover and body. My goal was to include some M3n nuts to hold the Hot End fan and the Fan Nozzle piece securely in place, thereby avoiding the need for the M3x14 screws to be screwed directly into the plastic material. To print these new parts, I recommend using PETG with 0.2mm layers and 20% infill.
