I've crafted this protective casing for my printer's Chinese extruder hot end, figuring it'd be a real mess using multiple fans so, I decided to create one fan shroud for cooling both the cold end and the filament emerging from the nozzle. I haven't printed it yet, so I'm counting on you folks to give it a try until I get around to printing it myself. My cold end relies on 4 screw-on fins for its heat sink. Print Settings Printer: Homemade Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Infill: 100% Notes: Lay the shroud down on the fan attachment side with care. Post-Printing Securing the Holes The holes for attaching the fan are 2.5 mm in diameter, ready to be tapped for M3 screws to secure a 40 mm fan.
