This Makerbot-style extruder is designed for use with the MakerFarm Prusa i3 printer that features auto bed leveling probe. The printing process is straightforward, but you may need to ream the bushing holes to ensure a proper fit. A small servo is used, which should be hot melt glued in place. Additionally, a dab of hot melt glue on the back plate helps the homing switch close before the extruder collides with the switch housing. The filament clamp and front are based on Makerbot's design, while the arm is downloaded from MakerBot's website. To complete the assembly, a zip file containing STL files of the back and front plates/mounts and the switch arm is provided, along with 3D PDF instructions and IGES models of the parts.
