Extruder 1

The extruder was the first component I replaced on a prototype of my 3D LAD-1.0 printer.\r\nA "Ali" MK8 purchase failed to deliver, with stepper motor clacks forcing nozzle temperature above optimal levels and reducing printer performance.\r\nPro printing with a 0.3 mm nozzle was out of the question.\r\nThe 52 N * cm torque of the 17HS8401 stepper motor proved insufficient for an 11 mm diameter gear roller.\r\nAdditionally, there was a tendency to filament wringing due to the large distance between the toothed roller and bowden tube inlet.\r\n\r\nI decided to build an extruder with a reduced roller, having a 7.5 mm diameter at the tops of the teeth, which promised almost a 1.5 times increase in force.\r\n\r\nThis new extruder worked for me over 1000 hours without issue.\r\nThe design proved balanced, with engine and toothed roller traction ability nearly equal.\r\nFilament wringing did not occur, refueling was quite convenient.\r\nAs a result - only 20 grams of filament resolved the problem.\r\n\r\nReferences: https://3dladnik.wixsite.com/portfolio/extruder-en\r\n3D printer Lad-1.0: https://3dladnik.wixsite.com/portfolio/lad-1-0-en
