Extruder 1
cults3d
The extruder is the first thing I modified on a prototype of my 3D LAD-1.0 printer. Bought on "Ali" MK8, however, did not perform well enough. The clacking of a stepper motor caused the temperature of the nozzle to rise above optimal levels and reduce the performance of the printer. Printing with a nozzle of 0.3 mm could no longer be considered a viable option. The 52 N * cm torque of the 17HS8401 stepper motor was not sufficient for a gear roller with a diameter of 11 mm. Moreover, there was a tendency for filament wringing due to the large distance from the toothed roller to the inlet of the bowden tube. Therefore, I decided to create an extruder with a reduced roller having a diameter at the top of the teeth of 7.5 mm, which promised an increase in force by almost 1.5 times. This extruder has worked for me over 1000 hours without issue. The design proved to be well-balanced, with the traction ability of the engine and toothed roller nearly equal. Filament wringing did not occur, refueling is quite convenient. As a result - only 20 grams of filament was needed to solve the problem. Files: Ex1-01.STL - Enclosure, Ex1-02.STL - Cover, Ex1-02h.STL - Cover option with increased height gaps to accommodate the lever, Ex1-03.STL - Lever, one-piece with plastic thread for adjusting screw, Ex1-03a.STL and Ex1-03b.STL are the two halves of the lever to be glued together, with space for installing an ordinary M3 hexagon nut. Gluing the lever and threading the M6 for the fitting setting is best done in a vice.
