Extruded T-Slot 80 mm Fan Mount
thingiverse
This printer chamber project utilizes aluminum T-Slots for attaching 80mm fans in an adjustable manner. The design is applicable to other homemade systems as well. Downloadable Solidworks files are provided. Misleading images aside, the fan can rotate freely without hitting the T-Slots. Print the base, guard, and bracket at 0.1mm layers, 100% infill, with no extra shells; the tower requires 25% infill, 0.2mm layers, and three extra shells. Post-printing, remove rough edges and file smooth. Assembly involves adjusting the fan by loosening screws, repositioning/rotating it, then tightening again. Required hardware includes T-Slot pieces (Amazon links provided), 0.25" diameter hex bolts and washers for attachment, along with 1.5" and 0.75" length flathead machine screws with a hex nut.
