Extruded Metal Channel Cap for Tenlog TL-D3 Pro
thingiverse
I'm not a big fan of the stock light blue cap that comes with the Tenlog TL-D3 Pro, so I set out to make my own. I went through several revisions to try to get to the right fit. This revision comes out super tight, but I decided that I'd rather have too tight than too loose. Pliers with electrical tape wrapped around the ends helped me snap things into place. BE CAREFUL THOUGH! It is very easy to mar the aluminum. I suggest starting with the top channel since it is easy to remove the end caps to slide it in/out there. The 400 mm length piece can just barely fit diagonally on the printing bed as long as you mind the positioning of the binder clips. This one is long enough to fit the top part and almost long enough to fit the 4 channels on the left and right. Another 4 X 52 mm pieces fills in the rest of the gap there. I marked this as a work in progress because I'm not entirely satisfied with the result. I may come back and edit. The reference shapes are provided in a 3mf to allow others to take a whack at it.
