Extruded Aluminum Slide
thingiverse
Create a lightweight slide for running on Rexroth (Bosch) 40x40 extruded aluminum by using only fasteners readily available at Vancouver Hacker Space. The design is specific to Rexroth's extrusion due to its unique notched top edge. The roller may not fit correctly on other 40x40 sections. Required materials include four 608ZZ bearings, eight 5mm x 25mm socket head cap screws, and eight #8 x 1/2" Fillister head screws. Print four carriage pieces and eight roller wheel parts. Attach the roller wheels to either side of a bearing set, then fasten the carriages onto each side of the bearings using the screws. The plastic holes are designed to allow for easy fastener installation from one side while threading into the other, making it lightweight. Note that modified STLs have been provided to keep the parts flat.
