To complement my Kossel Mini, I designed a sleek filament spool holder using 15x15mm OpenBeam or Misumi HFS3-1515, similar to the frame's structure. The aluminum extrusions required were three 15cm and two 20cm pieces, totaling approximately 85cm. This design can accommodate various spool sizes. Customize its dimensions based on your preference. The rod spacer not only prevents accidental sideways slipping but also functions as a size-adjustable element. It's designed for an 8mm or 5/16" smooth rod, though it may be slightly loose after printing. To achieve a perfect fit, scale the spacer to 0.93% of its original size for an 8mm rod. Adjust the scaling based on your desired rod diameter. Assembling the parts might require some filing and heating to ensure a proper fit, depending on the printer's accuracy in printing the components.
