Extruded Aluminum Foot
thingiverse
I printed this in PLA, and it's incredibly strong - much stronger than I needed it to be. I attached just one of the shorter ones to the aluminum and held 230 pounds for a pushup without any issues, so I'm dialing down the infill from now on. This 3D print will serve as a makeshift TV base raiser to accommodate a soundbar underneath - a convenient use case that just happened to align with my current project. I had two small lengths of extruded aluminum lying around, which made it easy to test the design. If you need a custom version made to your specifications, feel free to let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate your request. My model for cutting out the aluminum fits perfectly on my A8 machine, which actually performed better than my Ultimaker 2 during this project - a testament to the former's capabilities. The Ultimaker 2 does need some fine-tuning, but that's a task for when I have more free time available.
