The router I'll construct within a year is based on the Fine Line Automations FLA100 Model, but with some modifications. To avoid motors hanging over the machine, I used pulleys and belts. This design also offers a larger cutting area while reducing the footprint. Additionally, the gantry is offset for centering the router bit on the linear carriages. The cutting area measures 38.2" x 25.5" x 6.5", whereas the footprint is 48L" x 35"W x 53" T. The chosen router is Hitachi M12VC, and parts are sourced from 8020, FineLineAutomation, CNCRouterParts, SDP-SI, McMaster Carr, and OnlineMetals. Custom motor mounts (3) and one custom bracket (x8) are also included. The model was developed using Inventor 2013.
