Extremely difficult 5x5x4 puzzle cube
myminifactory
The challenge of this puzzle cube lies not in the sheer number of pieces, making it far less tedious than a 10x10x10 or even a 20x20x20 cube. Despite having only 10 distinct pieces, the cube requires patience and skill to assemble properly. The pieces fit together seamlessly, holding the entire structure together with remarkable stability. This is due to the clever design that allows each piece to lock into place, preventing them from sliding out of position. I designed this cube in Blender, taking advantage of its capabilities for creating intricate shapes. While it's easier to create complex designs in Blender, I recreated the model in Fusion 360 for accuracy and precision. In Fusion 360, it's much simpler to work with objects at scale and achieve precise dimensions. To solve the puzzle, you must assemble the pieces in the correct order. If not, they will prevent each other from fitting together properly. The files are carefully labeled with the correct sequence, so feel free to rename them before printing to avoid spoilers. However, I encourage you to explore the solution on your own, as even knowing the correct order won't make the puzzle trivial – unless you're exceptionally skilled at puzzles. The striking color pattern is achieved by printing pieces 2, 4, 6, and 9 in a contrasting color. For those seeking guidance, I've created a quick solving animation in Blender that can serve as a solution. You can find it here: https://youtu.be/8K9YEUObldA
