Extreme Bow Stabilizer V2 - Customizable!
myminifactory
This stabilizer is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2458936. Key enhancements include improved printability without supports, reduced dimensions for faster printing, and more precise bolt slots. I set out to create a simple yet visually appealing bow stabilizer that also delivers exceptional functionality. This version is designed to minimize print time and material usage while still producing excellent results. By repurposing four used arrow shafts and purchasing a few additional components, you can assemble this project for approximately $5. To manufacture the necessary 3D parts, you will need: * A receiver (1.25" or 2") * Multiple rails (print as many as desired) * A barrel * An optional flash hider or silencer (adds to the overall appearance) For assembly, gather the following components: * Four 7.8mm arrow shafts * One UNF 5/16-24 1.25" or 5/316-24 2" bolt * One M10 90mm bolt * Four M10 nuts To assemble the stabilizer, follow these steps: (Please note that you may need to use a 5/16" drill bit to enlarge the arrow slots if they become too loose. In this case, secure everything in place using silicone glue or hot glue.) 1. Receiver: Ensure your 5/316-24 bolt matches the size of the receiver you printed (1.25" or 2"). Insert the bolt into the receiver and rely on friction to hold it in place. If necessary, tighten it once installed on a bow. 2. Barrel & Flash hider: Insert the M10 90mm bolt from the bottom square face of the barrel. Secure it at the top with an M10 nut, then add up to three more nuts to increase weight. 3. Arrow shafts: Insert them into the receiver. 4. Rail(s): Slide them down the arrow shafts for alignment. 5. Barrel: Place it over the other end of the arrow shafts. 6. Pressure fit muzzle device over barrel.
